"WOW!!
What can I say? Hooked up the TMB yesterday, and played with the
tones a little. I
wasn't going to leave it in the rig, because I threw
a set of new pickups and a new chorus
at Brad yesterday, and I didn't
want to overwhelm him. Well, he came in
early, saw the pedal and wanted
to leave it in... I was amazed at the
Modern setting, pure boost and no
coloring...
"Well,
I look out during the first few songs and he's got it on (Modern
setting)...
Sounded wonderful!! He ended
up using it on
'Back in the Saddle', 'Same Old Song
and Dance', 'Last Child', and
'Jaded' (probably more). We talked
after the show and he was very
impressed, we hope to explore the
Vintage side in upcoming shows. I
would really like to hear it with a Strat..."

"WOW!
Everything you claimed the TMB could do, it does. The versatility of
this unit is incredible; the quality of workmanship is incredible. For
someone who really is not a pedal guy and more of a purist, this is the
ULTIMATE pedal for me. Thank you!" -
Reza
R. (Pawtucket, RI), Unit #29
"This
pedal has a ton of output, but is surprisingly quiet. It was able to push
my Marshalls over the edge, in a beautiful way. I even tried it with my
little SF Champ, and it had that sucker screaming for mercy!!"
- Michael O. (Madison,
WI), Unit #8
"Very
low noise and very sensitive to picking attacks!!!
When
I selected the 1973 mode, I could get the '70s Leslie
West sound!!!!!
In 1966 mode, I could get the '60s Eric Clapton sound!!! Very sweet &
thick but
not muddy at all.
Modern
mode is more transparent and clearer than I expected.
I think that your TMB will probably be
very welcome to many Japanese
guitarists!"

"For
my small amp the 'Modern Boost' setting is killer. Although I like the
other two settings also, I'm busy groovin' with the Modern setting. With
the modern setting I'm able to get that killer Super Bass clean round
tone. BTW, I'm using a Les Paul but can just imagine that a Strat would
be killer also." -

"I just wanted to let you know that I
received the Time Machine Boost on Saturday and used it gigging last
night. I would like to congratulate you on making a boost pedal that is a
gem to have playing live. I play a 1991 California Series Fat Tele and a
Gibson Les Paul Studio (with P-94 pickups installed) thru a 1990 Marshall
Bluesbreaker Combo (with a custom Pine cabinet I had made for it). This
pedal was all that I needed all night!! It makes the volume control so
useful for rhythm and then lead parts. It kind of reminds me of a
Rangemaster/Diaz Texas Ranger but even better. Going from "9" to
"10" on the guitar volume pot gives you logarithmic increases in
gain that works like a charm in the live setting and meshes so well with
the amp's clipped tone. I think now I have one of the best rigs I have
ever had (and I have had a lot!) while keeping it so simple. Really
vintage tone! Anyway, thanks for your prompt service........I am certain
this boost pedal will become a prized component of many more guitarist's
setups in the future."- J. Sean
W.(Texarkana, TX), Unit #42
"You
guys have really put a lot into this project and this detail shows. The Time
Machine Boost has become a regular on my pedal board it has bumped off the
(competitive product name withheld!) and I am very happy with the
tone. It has a clarity no other transistor boost I have used has, the
intensity knob is so useful it makes the unit really versatile
compared to any boost I own.
"I
have had many fellow session guys ask about it, and it is intriguing many.
well Dave there is my take on it i must be honest and say...
I did not expect to take to the TMB so quick. It is that good!"

"I've had my TMB for about
a week and feel I can now share some thoughts. Initially, my main reason
for ordering the TMB was to get a good, transparent boost to use live -
the other channels were going to be icing on the cake if they turned out
to be good.
"I could not be happier! I definitely got
the transparent boost I was hoping for from the Modern channel. Plenty of
available boost in there as well. But what I wasn't expecting was to truly
dig that 1973 Vintage channel! I would buy this pedal based on the 1973
channel alone.
"The 1973 channel gives my high solo notes
more meat while at the same time tightening up my low notes and giving
them more definition - all while maintaining a nice upper-mid presence. It
made the neck humbucker on my goldtop a lead monster - great cut with
no flubb yet still sounded like a neck 'bucker. -

"I tried mine through my Plexi 50w
& '68 412 w/ a Strat and ES335 as well as 2 different '63 AC30s. I was
very impressed by the fact that this thing does NOT force a tone but
reacts differently with each change between guitars or amps.
The
TMB is a first rate pedal and acts like it was made for the
guitar you're using it with." -
Nick
C. (Clearwater, Florida), Unit #21
"I've been playing
around with the TMB. It's freaking amazing! I've grown particularly fond
of the modern channel...I'll be using it on my future recordings for sure.
I just wanted to write and tell you congratulations. This pedal is going
to set a new precedence for boost pedals." - Dave Weiner, solo
artist and guitarist for the Steve Vai Band.
"Just received your
Time Machine Boost. WOW....I would like to thank you and congratulate you
on a wonderfully rich, toneful pedal. I usually hate everything I stick on
my pedal board and they usually grow on me. This pedal has earned its
place instantly." - Andrew B. (Palm Springs, CA) Unit #59
"A quick email to wish
you a very happy new year and to tell you now that I received the Time
Machine Boost and I find it absolutely amazing. It gives my guitar a
superb sound. I use a Strat (with Lindy Fralin pickups) and a Fender Blues
Jr. amp (with sometimes a TS9). It seems the TMB was made for the two of
them; really amazing; couldn't stop playing for hours when I turned on my
amp. I really love it." - Benoit T. (Paris, France), Unit #69
"I wanted you to know
that we played out New Year's Eve and used the booster in a live setting.
This thing is wonderful for our blues/rock songs!!!!! So much better for
solo tone on this music than the high gain lead channel of my amp." -
Tim W. (Lafayette, IN), Unit #75
"Can I just say; this pedal should be
illegal - it's like a secret weapon or something!
"Seriously, I just finished trying it
out and I don't think my tone has ever been
this good. I expected to like the '73 boost, but the real surprise for
me was the '66 tone - pure Bluesbreakers - or
rather Rory Gallagher since I'm using a
strat into a bassman. It perfectly balances the tone on my strat,
which had a bassy quality, and really lets the high notes sing and sustain
perfectly. It's amazing how the notes at the top of the neck sound ouder,
and totally cures that classic strat "weak E-string" problem. In
fact my fingers hurt now from bending that top
E so much; it sings so beautifully
through that treble boost it's a real pleasure to play.
"This pedal is superb, even better
than I thought it could be, I can't even remember
what my guitar sounded like before - this is now "my" tone and
no going back."-Malcolm
B.(London, U.K.), Unit #95
"I received my Time machine boost last week, (TMB#150). I used a brown
faced Fender Showman w / 1-12 JBL and a Mesa-Boogie Rectifier w 2-12
V-30's to get a taste for big clean and modern O.D.I played with my 64
Strat, PRS McCarty and G&L ASAT Classic with Lindy Fralin's...
"Oh my! The change from before and after was comparative to having a
BBE Sonic Maximizer turned on a PA for the first time... In other words, I
couldn't turn it off!
"The vintage channel is so amazing, the clarity of chords is so greatly
improved in all modes that when my band played, I never left my clean
channel of the Rectifier all night.
"I use two OD pedals which I placed in front of the TMB, a Sparkle
Drive and a Tube Blower. Single notes sang like a violin, chords attack
and bloom beautifully and in all modes, clean, pushed with overdrive or in
between, my rig never sounded so amazing. In fact, If I hadn't removed my
finger from single note, they could have sustained forever. Yet, I had
total control at my finger tips. My drummer actually asked me to turn it
up!
"My 64 Strat combined with the modern channel is a thing of beauty and
the combination is stunning. I can't thank you enough for creating such a
powerful and musical tool.
"With tone like this, price is not an issue. The TMB is worth every
cent. For those who read this, don't waist your time and money searching
elsewhere. The TMB is the best tonal investment I've made since I began
playing 24 years ago. TONE!" -Todd D. S., (Southern CA.), Unit #150
